Interprofessional Curriculum

Patient and Mentor UBC Health is committed to interprofessional learning.

Our new integrated curriculum approach is helping make interprofessional education a formal part of the health professional programs across UBC. This approach supports learning that is unique to each profession. It addresses foundational knowledge in complex areas of health care. And, it creates opportunities for interprofessional learning.  Ethics is the first integrated curriculum topic. eHealth, Resilience and Indigenous Cultural Awareness are under development.

Each curricula includes interprofessional components that enable students to develop the competencies for collaborative practice.

As a UBC student, you will register for and track your interprofessional learning using the Interprofessional Education Passport. This online tool lists all the exciting and innovative interprofessional learning opportunities available to UBC students. These activities will help you focus your knowledge and understanding of interprofessional, patient-centred collaborative practice.
