Facilitating transformative change in health

Health Systems

The evolution of health towards an integrated system focused on individual and community wellbeing is a challenge of global importance and urgency.

UBC Health supports this transformation by facilitating and encouraging effective advocacy for continuous improvement in the health ecosystem. We work with health sector partners across British Columbia to enable dialogue, activate assets, and advance policies and innovations to improve health systems at individual and community levels.

BC HEALTH SYSTEMS PARTNERSHIPS

The BC Health Systems Partnership leverages the convening power of UBC Health to facilitate dialogue and collaborations across partners in the learning community – academia, health administrators, policymakers, communities, health professionals, and linked sectors. Catalyzing meaningful collaboration through this partnership group will facilitate inclusive and coordinated engagement with practitioners, communities, and policymakers to influence better health in BC.

Cross-Sector Dialogue

To build shared understanding and enable collaborative solution-finding for better health in BC, UBC Health has convened people and organizations from all regions of the province and all areas of the Partnership Pentagram Plus to participate in cross-sector dialogue.

The Gateway to Team-Based Care

The Gateway to Team-Based Care will be a provincial centre for collaborative health education, interdisciplinary research, and innovation in team-based primary care. It aims to build capacity for collaborative health education to advance and accelerate the delivery of patient-centered, team-based primary care.

TBC @ UBC Network

The TBC @ UBC Network supports the primary healthcare transformation in BC with education, research, evaluation, and knowledge translation. The network engages health professionals, health leaders, academics, policymakers, funding agencies, patients, and communities throughout BC to discuss and learn from each other about the on-the-ground needs, opportunities, and challenges regarding team-based care design, research/evidence, pedagogy, policy, and integration.
