TBC @ UBC Network - Advancing Team-Based Care in BC by Organizing Collaborative Action

Join us at our upcoming event to explore collaborative efforts for advancing team-based care in BC. We'll dive into four ideas:

1. Build a network of healthcare educators engaged with interprofessional education placements
2. Research the implementation of primary care teams, with focus on policy and structural challenges
3. Expand the types of providers in team-based primary care settings
4. Improve interdisciplinary collaboration between public- and private-sector professions

These ideas emerged in the engaging discussions at the "Weaving the Threads: Bridging Silos, Building Impact" event in January 2024, hosted by UBC Health. Responding to the demand for further discussion on these topics, we are inviting interested participants from that event to join this next TBC @ UBC discussion.

The event will feature breakout sessions on each of the four topics, and hold space for dialogue with healthcare policymakers, administrators, providers, patient partners, community members, academics, and cross-sector partners. The breakout sessions will bring together interested parties, understand their motivations, discuss potential collaborative actions, and outline next steps and key players.

The network supports province-wide efforts to enhance team-based care in BC. This includes showcasing team-based care resources, tools, models, and experiences through Team Up! webinars and podcasts, alongside opportunity for dialogue and exchange of ideas on those topic areas during TBC@UBC Network events.
