A new summer program for students interested in a health profession as a career option is launching in August.

The Health Professions Summer Program, developed by an interprofessional planning team, will be hosting 15 high school and undergraduate students to participate. The program is designed to assist students in developing sustained knowledge about health professions and skills to successfully apply to UBC health educational programs.

The program is inviting students from equity deserving groups to apply, including (but not limited to) people who identify as first-generation university students, disabled, Indigenous, racialized, economically disadvantaged, and/or 2SLGBTQIAP+.

The five-day program will be held at the UBC Vancouver campus on August 8-12, 2022. For more information, view the program poster.

Eligible students who are interested in and passionate about pursuing a career in the health professions are encouraged to apply online by July 4, 2022.
