The Interprofessional Health Mentors program at UBC Health is accepting new volunteers to join its exceptional pool of health mentors who either live with a chronic illness or disability or are caregivers. Health mentors share their experiences with students in health disciplines to help them learn about patient-centered care. 

The program begins with an orientation on September 25, 2023 and runs until May 2024. Mentors should live in the Lower Mainland and be interested in inspiring small groups of students. 

For more information and to apply, visit the Health Mentors website or email pcpe.isdm@ubc.ca. The deadline to apply is August 15, 2023.
