UBC Health is pleased to welcome Deanna Bracewell as the new Curriculum Manager at UBC Health on May 3.

A kinesiologist by training, Deanna has a background in curriculum design and clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation. Most recently, Deanna worked on curricular renewal with the Food Science program in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems where she facilitated curricular changes and increased curriculum visibility for multiple degree programs running a common core. Prior to that, she helped the Faculty of Medicine launch the Office of Faculty Development, which provides pedagogical support for clinical educators.

As Curriculum Manager, Deanna will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of classroom-based and online collaborative health education initiatives across UBC Health. She will work closely with health professional program leads, colleagues from across the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses, and community partners in the design and implementation of collaborative health education programs. She will also work closely with Donna Drynan, Director of Education and Carrie Krekoski, Practice Education Manager to align university-based programming with practicum-based initiatives.

Deanna joins us as Caroline Voisine leaves her Curriculum Manager role at the end of May. After 10 years in Canada and at UBC, Caroline has decided to return to France with her family. The team at UBC Health sincerely thanks Caroline for her dedication and commitment to advancing interprofessional and collaborative health education at UBC and, in particular, her pivotal role in transitioning the Integrated Curriculum to online delivery this past year. We extend our best wishes to Caroline on this significant transition for her and her family.

Please join us in thanking Caroline for her contributions to UBC Health and welcoming Deanna to her new role.
