Continuing Professional Development
Supporting healthcare transformation.
Integrated team-based care is a vision for the future of healthcare in British Columbia as a way to deliver better patient-centred care and improve health outcomes. Recognizing the importance of continuing professional development (CPD) in supporting new models of care, UBC Health has developed a number of resources that support the development of teams – online modules, interactive workshops, small group learning sessions, and more.
IPC on the Run - An online module series designed to provide flexible interprofessional education (IPE) for interprofessional collaborative practice (IPC). It is based on the National Interprofessional Competency Framework developed by the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative.
Interprofessional Collaborative Learning Series (IP-CLS) – A series of face-to-face workshops based on the National Interprofessional Competency Framework that can be customized for specific teams.
Team-Based Primary Care – Learning resources designed specifically to support team-based primary care.
The Office of UBC Health works with healthcare organizations and teams to customize learning to meet the needs of specific initiatives. Contact us to find out about existing resources and customized training to support team-based care in your setting.
